Old Fashioned Christmas

Where: Perry Homestead Museum, Carrollton
The Perry Homestead Museum is opening its doors for a Christmas party. Take a tour through the home, built in 1909, and marvel at the decorations—stockings hung with care, yards of garland, and ceiling high trees. Activities for guests include: ornament decorating and a petting zoo. Swipe a few of Santa’s cookies and be on the lookout for the Victorian carolers.

Where: Samuel Blvd to Parkway Blvd to Town Center Plaza (Coppell)
Tis the season of Santa, his elves, holiday treats, and presents under the tree. Get in the spirit with Coppell’s annual parade. Floats will be decorated from head to toe—think lots of tinsel and colorful lights. Wave back at the float’s passengers and even catch a glimpse of the jolly man with the white beard. The parade will conclude at the Town Center Plaza where cookies and hot cocoa will be waiting. Experience the ceremonious tree lighting followed by fireworks.
Parents can shop the Christmas craft market while their kids write letters to the North Pole.
Santa’s Downtown Dash 5K
When: December 3
Cost: Kids Fun Run: $10
Chase Santa through downtown Carrollton during this year’s dash. Think of it this way, you won’t feel as guilty eating Grandma’s cookies come Christmas.
When: December 19
Where: Carrollton Public Library
Bring the little ones to the library for a special Santa meet and greet. Mrs. Claus will read her favorite Christmas stories while the whole family decorates gingerbread cookies. Make sure your little elves bring their Christmas lists.
Christmas at The Gaylord Texan

Did someone say all day fun passes? It’s unlimited holiday shenanigans at the Gaylord this December. From ice slides to snow tubing to ice skating to snow ball fights, we guarantee you’re going to get plenty bang for your buck. After participating in a scavenger hunt, Mrs. Claus will be waiting with milk and cookies. But before heading home, make one for the gingerbread man.
