Looking for some summer fun? Here are a few suggestions, right in your backyard.
Date: July 23rd
Time: 6-8 PM
Where: Downtown Carrollton, Gazebo
Just a mere 20 minutes east of Coppell, you’ll find downtown Carrollton to be bustling on a Saturday night. As the sun goes down over North Texas, enjoy a night of Top 40 covers with local band, Aurora. Croon along to a set list of popular rock, pop, and country tunes while your kids run around the grassy town square. Seating is entirely up to you, bring lawn chairs or sprawl out on a blanket. We recommend packing a cooler of beverages and snacks for the evening. With free admission, we think this weekend event strikes just the right cord.
Time: 9-11 PM
Where: Urban Air Trampoline Park, 110 W. Sandy Lake Rd.
Cost: $15 per person
The sweltering July sun makes it difficult to find summer activities that don’t include lathering your kids up with sunscreen and lounging by the pool. That’s why Coppell Urban Air Trampoline Park schedules monthly late night events for all ages. Every other Friday and Saturday, kids can enjoy two hours of jumping, a piece of pizza, and a DJ spinning their favorite music. Along with the trampoline area, this large facility offers dodgeball, a slam dunk zone, and an obstacle course. Van Halen said it best: Go ahead, jump!
Date: July 23rd
Where: 768 W. Main St.
For those who are fans of getting up with the birds on Saturday morning, check out the Coppell Farmer’s Market. On July 23rd whether you’re a regular or a newbie, stop by for the annual customer appreciation day. Get your hands on a free tote bag for your weekly produce and slide into a free photo booth for a few snapshots with your friends. With over 40 vendors, you’ll find everything from fresh greens to spices to homemade jams. Tip: get there early for the best selection.
Date: June 15-August 12 (Fridays)
Where: The CORE, 234 E. Parkway Blvd.
What’s better than storytime at the pool? Every Friday the Coppell Public Library hosts a morning of learning and fun at The CORE outdoor pool. Let your little ones splash around, join in song, and listen to an engaging story told by a local librarian. Entry to the pool is free for parents and kids up to age eight for the duration of the event.
